Agency Window is configured to automatically restart the computer every night to ensure that the day runs smoothly. Windows has a tendency to use up resources over time and it is often recommended to periodically restart Windows in order to "refresh". Agency Window automates this process for exactly these reasons.
You can configure Windows to automatically login by making changes to a program called the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel applet. It is a relatively simple change to make, so please follow these steps:
- Open the Advanced User Accounts program. To do this bring up the Run dialog box via WIN+R and enter netplwiz and then press OK;
- On the Users tab, uncheck the box next to Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer;
- Press the OK button at the bottom of the window;
- When the Automatically sign in box appears, enter the Windows user name you wish to use for your automatic login
.
Important: If you're using a Microsoft account in Windows 10 or Windows 8, be sure to enter the entire email address that you use to sign in to Windows with, in the User name field. What defaults there might instead be the name associated with your account, not your actual user name; - In the Password and Confirm Password fields, enter the Windows password used to sign into Windows (not your Agency Window username and password!);
- Press the OK button;
- Restart your computer and make sure that Windows automatically logs you in;
